Proper trailer towing prevents costly equipment damage and ensures the safety of all motorists. Please use the following checklist as a guide for preparing your SolarTech unit for transport:
1) Check all wheel lugs properly tightened.
2) Check all tongue bolts secure.
3) Check all coupler bolts secure.
4) Cross the safety chains under the tongue when securing them to the tow vehicle. Adjust the length of the chains as required to insure that they will not drag on the ground but are long enough to accommodate turning.
5) Connect and test stop, turn, tail and clearance lights.
6) Thoroughly inspect trailer for any loose bolts or parts.
7) Close, latch and lock all control and battery compartments.
8) Fully lower the sign panel and ensure that all sign panel latches are properly secured.
9) Check tire pressure.
10) Connect the break away cable to the tow vehicle on units equipped with brakes.
11) Raise and secure all jacks to their transport position. |
